Valio Ltd., Helsinki, Finland, and The Dannon Company, Inc., White Plains, NY, have signed a license agreement providing exclusive access to technology and for the use of probiotic Lactobacillus GG (LGG) in the U.S. Dannon will add the probiotic culture LGG to its existing Danimals line of low fat yogurt cups and drinks made specifically for kids. Valio, developed the LGG probiotic, which was introduced in products for the first time in 1990.
